Question
My dad bought a pre-paid cell phone from Best Buy, about 2 weeks ago, can he return it? Or would he have to return it to the cell phone company, them self?

The question is, has he activated it or anything? I mean, cause here at RS we return em as long as they havent been used or anything. If they've been used or whatever, you'd have to make sure the phone is clear of minutes, deactivate it with the phone company, and then return or do what they say.
If it hasn't been screwed with, then just return it with the packaging and everything, if you still have it. Other wise, you may have to settle for a store credit or exchange for equal/lesser value.

He does have it activated. I was thinking that he might have to clear the minutes on it, but just not sure. As for store credit, I think He would not mind that.

Well, with most prepaids there's two ways to deactivate.
1. through the company (this is best option for those who want immediate reimbursement, etc.)
2. Let it sit for 90 days. They auto-deactivate after 90 days of inactivity.
I recommend the former.
