Another thread on here inspired me to start a thread about customers and their PDA........no, not the gadget, their Public Display of Affection.

To me, holding hands is no big deal. I just couldn't stand it when people would come in and grope each other or hang all over each other, and even worse if they started making out in the aisles. Or at the gas station, they'd make out in the beer cooler (I noticed it was taking way too long to decide what beer they wanted).

Maybe I'm a prude, but it really bothers me when people do that in public. Especially when there are kids around (who don't need to see a guy grabbing a girl's boobs as they walk down an aisle), or me, who doesn't want to see the tonsil hockey olympics.

Anyone else bugged by this?

Yeah, that does bother me a little. It bothers me especially when you've got two lovebirds crawling down the aisle holding hands so you can't get past them.

Like I'm one to talk though. In high school I dated this one girl for about a year, and we couldn' t keep our hands off each other. People thought we were really disgusting, but of course I didn't realize it then.

I'm not bitter at all, so I hope I don't come across as such.

but we have these kids come in here (16 or 17 year old) and they seem to not be able to seperate to even buy a pack of gum. It's really annoying, and then they sit there and try to make out while us employees are frankly disgusted.

The white trash couples seem to be the worse...look here bubba keep your hands off your sister for about 5 minutes. It's all I ask. We don't need another kid running around sucking up EBT funds.

I thought PDA meant pretty damn annoying, but I guess it is annoying to see that when it's over the top. I don't mind a peck here and there, but not grouping and crushing the cereal boxes.

I agree. There is a time and a place for that, and it is certainly not while shopping.

That's why God made bedrooms... ;) :D

Depends on the PDA. No one should be trying to shove their tongue down the other persons throat or their hand down their pants in public.

Is it still okay for me to pat my husband's bum when we are out in public? :D

Of course! As long as I can do that to my girlfriend... But I promise that I will not try to get to second base, nor make out with her in the produce section.

There is a time and a place for everything, people!!

I generally hate when I see other people do it, but I kiss my girlfriend on a regular basis in the store. Usually on the cheek if we're in line

I don't think that's so bad.

A few nights ago, I was chatting with the officer on duty, when we noticed a group of people. At the center of said group was a young man and young woman making out. If they'd kept it up, they would've been doing naughty acts that have no place in the produce department of a grocery store.

Quick kisses and pats are OK, but geez, settle your pants until you leave!!!!!!!!!

Generally speaking I don't have problems with PDAs. Holding hands, kisses, looking into each other's eyes, whispering sweet nothings, or whatever--fine by me. What I can't stand is porn-star style exhibitionism attempting to masquerade as a PDA. You can always tell when someone is literally getting off on making out in public, thinking (if they are thinking at all) that they look cool and sexy and edgy, when in fact they look like total morons. Get a room!

I don't have any problem with someone holding hands or kissing lightly or just being genuinely loving, but I don't like it when someone's full out going at it in public. I try not to, but sometimes you let it slip (like when they're gone for a while and you're picking up your loved one at an airport). I know I hated it more when I wasn't in a relationship than when I've been in one, but I figure everyone needs to show some love in public sometime.
