It could be worse and sorta adds to the small amusement I can garner from this weekend. My weekend was pretty shitty. I got some horrible news that I'm now currently dealing with.

To get away from the situation I ended up spending Saturday night at a very nice Holiday Inn in Ocean City, MD. I was planning on sleeping pretty much up to check-out time and had set the alarm to go off at 10:20 so I could be set and ready to check out at 11am. I ended up getting up early and got myself together and cleaned up everything to make it easier on the poor cleaning people since I know how hard their jobs are. I was out the door at 10am. I only now realized what I had done.

So to the people in the rooms next to mine...I'm sorry I accidentally left the alarm on and I'm sorry to the poor desk clerk who took the call :ashamed:

I did something similar once... only the alarm clock in question was at home. The buzzer was still going eight hours later. My cat was trying to sleep in the furthest corner of the house. I think it was the aural equivalent of Chinese Water Torture. If looks could kill, I was a cadaver.

She probably still hasn't fogiven me.

I've done it at home too, my sister was less than impressed at having her lie in recked.

I've done it too. In college one semester I used to get up earlier than my roommate and I kept forgetting to turn off the alarm when I went to get in the shower. She slept on a loft and was not happy having to climb down just to turn off the alarm and climb back up. :o

My brother does that all the time. He's got one of those alarms that doesn't pay attention to am/pm, even though it's a digital clock. So if he doesn't turn it off when he gets up, it starts going off again in the evening.

OT - I'm curious... I notice that the word t-i-l-l gets replaced by the phrase "torture rack". So every time someone uses the word s-t-i-l-l, it comes out as "storture rack" and really looks strange.

Yeah, it's mentioned in the news section. You just need to take care with filters so that you don't catch innocent bystanders in the fallout.
