Yeah and just think that our children get to roast to death in this crap in two weeks when school starts up already! The idiot politicians that keep pushing back the beginning of the school year to prepare for "mandatory testing" didnt give it one second's thought that a lot of older schools dont have air conditioning!

I hear 'ya Kiwi. I live in Florida where it's 90-95 for about 7 months out of the year consistently, and who knows what we'll get for the winter months. (Conversion: 35 C = 95 F) I've been bundled up on Xmas and in swimsuits on New years (yes, the one that's a week later) before, and vice-versa. Florida is positively insane when it comes to weather.

Heheh. Actually, apart from having the coldest June on record ever, including the worst snow in over 30 years, it's actually unseasonally mild lately. Today I was out in the garden, in a tee shirt, staining a wooden fence.

In July. (Nothern hemispherians think "January").

Get used to it because I hear another round of heat is coming, on BOTH sides of the Atlantic again!

It's gonna be a hell of a challenge keeping the electricity/gas bill around the 100 dollar mark this time around.

Here in lovely NE Ohio, we're no stranger to suck ass unpredictable weather.

In April, it was in the 80's and 90's and didn't rain at all- usually rains constantly.
In May, it rained constantly and we had flooding- usually sunny and in the 70's.
In June, it was HOT and fiercely humid for the first half (about 90-95 degrees with 80-100% humidity) Standing still and breathing made you sweat.
And the second half of June and a lot of July- rain, rain and more rain. This place has never looked greener. Any time it stopped raining for a day, my husband had to run out and mow the lawn while he had the chance.
