The past couple of weekends, the hubby and I have been taking one girl out to spend some "alone time" together since it's rare that we get the girls alone at all. I was thinking about taking the 12yo to see "Ghost Rider" this weekend.
My rule is usually that PG13 movies have to be screened by me or dad first before she gets to see them, but I may make an exception. (The only other exception has ever been "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire") I'm OK with language and some violence, I let her watch "V for Vendetta" after I watched it and I made her watch it with me. I do have a problem with girl and boy bits being flashed around. The way I see it, she is old enough and intelligent enough to know that the violence is fake and to deal with the language. I just don't think she's ready to deal with the other on a 40 foot screen and you can't tell her it's fake.
She really liked the "X-Men" and "Fantastic Four" movies, so she can get into the comic based movies. I just don't know what it's like.
TIA guys!
