They caught the gang banger who killed my big guy's friend. The shooter is in a gang and was trying to settle a score, but got the WRONG ADDRESS and shot an innocent teen to death.
The gang banger was caught because he just couldn't resist bragging about what a big man he was for shooting an innocent and unarmed person who's only mistake was answering his door.
Now, the gang banger's absentee father comes out to say his son has a "big heart". Yeah, because we all know cold blooded killers always have a "big heart".
We should all feel sorry for the poster child for birth control, because his mommy died when he was young and daddy had better things to do than raise a kid, so the poor baby was in foster homes. Well, daddy had better things to do until his offspring was arrested for murder. Now daddy wants us all to feel sorry for his poor misunderstood son.
His son joined a notoriously violent gang and murdered an innocent boy and I'm suppose to feel sorry for him? That is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!
I hope the justice system puts him to death, he doesn't deserve to live when his victim never had a chance.

Why do they think that the gangs, make them so tough. If they seriously wanted to treated as if they were tough, they would join the service.

That's so sad.
What a horrible thing to do!

I hope they hit him with the book as hard as they can. What a senseless waste!
Around here, it's always the innocent that get killed because of gang stupidity. Last year, a girl was killed in a drive-by...who had *nothing* to do with it. She was just waiting for a bus when it happened. From all accounts, she was an honor student, and had just been accepted into college. What a waste. As for the shooter, he was eventually caught while committing another crime. And yes, I hope he got nailed to the full extent of the law.
Mis,
Is this waste of skin going to be tried as an adult? I would hope to God so. He better not get "wreckless endangerment" or "manslaughter" and get a slap on the wrist and a few years in prison, this kid better get tried with Murder 1 and life in prison with no possibility of parole (unless your state still has the death penalty). If this piece of shit gets off easy.......rrrrr...
People who commit these nasty crimes and only get a few years in prison........are the reason I have no faith in our "justice" system. I don't want to start a "fratching" type of discussion here, so I kept this as clean as I could.

Oh, I'm going to be big and tough by joining a group of guys who beat the crap out of women and kill innocent, defenseless people. That's REALLY tough.
I don't think he should die like a rabid dog. Too quick and painless.

Mis, I am so glad that they caught the guy that did that, but I am still sad that the boy's family and friends had to go through this.
I agree that the guy needs to be shot like a dog. Hopefully the fact that he was bragging about it and his obvious lack of remorse will play into things and justice will work the way it should. I am entirely for the Capital Punishment and that waste of oxygen is a prime example of why.

I was just talking on fratching about the death penalty and rehabilitation. There are times when much as I favor giving people a chance to redeem themselves this isnt one of them. Murder 1 is the least he should be charged with. Its too bad there isnt anything more powerful than death a person could do to those who murder children. And you are right putting them down the way you do a sick dog is too humane, public hanging anyone?
And yeah I have no idea why they think running with a pack of punks to kill and rough up innocents is what makes them a tough person.

I don't agree that he should be put to death, but ITA totally that he should be put in prison for life with no parole. If the story about his childhood is true and his childhood affected him that much, then that still means he is not fit to function in society. So, whether he had a bad childhood or not should not get him off with a lighter sentence at all.
Life in prison is what this guy deserve without a doubt.

I hope they give this punk the maximum, whether death or life in prison. He gave his victim the death penalty, after all. :pissed:
Mis, how is your son doing? Hearing about this can bring a sense of closure, but it can also be like reopening a wound.

XCashier, no I haven't brought it up to my big guy yet. It just hasn't been the right time yet.
I can't believe his father would have the gall to say that he had a big heart. He obviously has ice covering what used to be his heart, and someone who is as heartless and vicious to murder someone in cold blood has NO soul.
Worry not, those who get off easily by the justice system tend to not get off so easily by the victim's family members or friends. But let's hope it doesn't come to that.

People like that drive me insane.
They always have to blame something/someone else for what they did.
"Like, OMG, I just had to mow down a crowd of ppl with a semi-automatic because MY MOMMY DIDN'T POTTY TRAIN ME PROPERLY"

"You guys should be in every major city."
To those who get the reference, and agree, way to go.
To those who get the reference, and disagree, my opinion remains the same.
To those who don't get the reference, find out what Willem Dafoe, Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus, David Della Rocco, and Billy Connolly have in common. Or look up Troy Duffy's band.
Seriously though, as not to create a Fratching post, I will continue to agree with Rocco until the justice system lives up to its name.

The rabid dog I would feel bad about killing.
Gang member's, on the other hand, are a whole other story. These kinds of people always have their parents, grandmas going on tv saying what a "good kid" their little shit is. Good people don't do that kind of stuff!

You know, these little gang banging punks like to go on and on about how tough they are, but if they didn't have guns, they wouldn't be anything but a stain on the bottom of my boots by the time I was through with them. Being able to point and click doesn't make you tough, or a man, or a "gangsta", it either makes you someone who isn't strong enough to defend themself (no shame in that), OR it makes you a complete and utter coward crybaby who's too scared to fight his own battles. If you're too afraid to take on a little KID without a gun to back you up, what sort of big man are you, really?
I can guarantee that if you put me one-on-one with any single one of these cowards in a purely physical fight, I would win every single time, and easily. And to be perfectly honest, I would absolutely RELISH the chance to take a few bones out of some of these idiotic wads of meat.

I agree, for whatever reason they think being man means getting your way. I would pay to see Stone Cold MystyGlyttyr open up some whoop-ass on these punks. Mysty's aggenda for that day would be:
1. Arrive
2. Raise Hell
3. Leave
Something I learned long ago: Achieving the age of 18 doesn't make you an adult. All that signifies is that you somehow survived.

Trust me, I understand this. My cousin, who was a month and a half younger than me and had been my best friend for as long as I can remember, was killed by two wannabe gang members in August, 2005. They thought if they stole his car and kidnapped and murdered him they would get into this "tough" gang.
They shot my Brett twice in the back and once between the eyes and left him without ID in a park over 25 miles from his home like a piece of trash.
Both guys were caught and found guilty but because they were 17 at the time (one was three days from 18 and one was two weeks from 18) of the murder, they couldn't be sentenced to death.
So they got life in prison.
I'm still livid about it and I always will be. I was 23 when it happened and I don't think I will ever get over it. I still have anger issues about it. Tell your son when you think the time is right because, to be honest, that did help me. Knowing that they were at least in jail where they couldn't hurt anyone else made me feel somewhat better. Nothing will ever bring your son's friend, or my cousin, back, but knowing that no one else will get hurt does help. Even the smallest bit.
But also know, as I'm sure you do, that it's going to be rough. And make sure your guy knows you're there for him and tell him what my mom told me "If you need to yell at someone because you're angry or you're hurt or you're sad, you can yell at me. I will understand that it has nothing to do with me personally and I will hug you and love you when you are done."
And I've taken her up on it a time or two.
I still miss him terribly.

"You guys should be in every major city."
I LOVE that movie!
I'm pretty sure they'll have a lovely time in prison.......
Sick and disgusting, may be, but that's what helps me sleep at night, knowing the guy that killed my cousin still probably gets butt raped on a daily basis by other men in the prison he is in.
Once everything has gone through the courts, get on a victims contact list. You should be notified if the turd gets out early, if he changes jails/prisons, and when he comes up for parole (depending on what is sentencing is). My parents put my brother and I on a list like that. All I have to do is update my address when/if I move. I do this so that when he comes up for parole, I can go to court and try to contest him getting out. Also, if he switches prisons, I'd like to know where he's going next. If for some farked up reason he gets out early, I want to know too. However, I'm sure he'll be safely tucked away, because, remember, according to the justice system "murderers have rights too".
