Had this discussion at work, thought it'd be a fun topic.
Everybody has those movies that, while nobody else you know seems to like them, you really enjoy. What are some of yours?
My Top 5 (in no particular order):
1. Dick Tracy - For whatever reason, no one I've talked to has enjoyed this movie, but I really dug it. Great cast, and I thought the old-timey comic book scenery was pretty cool.
2. Lock Up - Sterotypical late 80's action movie with Sly Stallone in prison. Cheesey and predictable, but thorougly enjoyable.
3. 3,000 Miles To Graceland - Fast paced, mindless entertainment.
4. The Gingerdead Man - Gary Busey as an evil, talking cookie - what's not to love?
5. Things to Do In Denver when you're Dead - Awesome movie. I can't imagine why nobody seems to like this. I can't remember when I've enjoyed Andy Garcia more.

Any of the Evil Dead movies, Heavy metal, Rocky 3 and 4, almost any Schwartzeneggar movie....
Hahaha, I love Showgirls too, and that has to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen but any time it's on TV (censored) or any time it's on the cable for free, I get it.
I only refer to them as guilty pleasure movies because no one else will watch them with me, but everyone knows I love them....
Star Wars
Moulin Rouge
Phantom of the Opera
Jawbreaker
A Walk to Remember
The Breakfast Club
Sixteen Candles
Pretty in Pink
Fast Times At Ridgemont High
American Graffiti
I think people my age are dumb for not liking the classics lol

And don't forget Julie Brown's funny songs! "'Cause I'm a blonde, yeah yeah yeah!" :D
Any MST3K episode
Spirit of '76
Scooby Doo (heard a lot of negative reviews, but the folks in the theater I was in certainly seemed to enjoy it, especially the Scrappy Doo bit!)
Elephant Parts (with Michael Nesmith - cheesy 70s humor, but still enjoyable)
My husband's favorite guilty pleasure movie is A Polish Vampire From Burbank. :help:

My favorite guilty pleasure movie of all time is:

Why do I love that movie so much? I have no idea. But when hurricane season comes around, I just have to pop it into the dvd player and watch it.
Dick Tracey is also one of my favorites.
Also:
Kindergarten Cop
Get a Life (old Chris Elliot show - HILARIOUS and warped)
It's Garry Shandling's Show
ANY horribly bad karate movies from the 70's and 80's (remember Kung Fu Theater?)

No, I like that movie too.
I can't think of any "guilty pleasure" type movie right now that I like to watch.
I will watch "Legend of 1900" anytime it's on. "Full Metal Jacket" is also good anytime.
3. 3,000 Miles To Graceland - Fast paced, mindless entertainment.
Breathless (1983 US version) was almost universally panned when it came out. As the years have passed, critics have grown fonder of it. No one considers it a great movie, but it ranks pretty high lately. I think the same is likely to happen with 3,000 Miles to Graceland. A lot of the performances were actually pretty special, if you ask me.

The Lonely Lady--starring the one and only Pia Zadora. Trash at its finest!
Van Helsing--I loved it. So sue me.
The Frighteners--any movie with the guts to bring Michael J. Fox, Jake Busey, and Jeffrey Combs together is okay in my book.
Body Parts--does the arm have a soul of its own? *snort*
