Poor pup Is there a way that you could (without jeopardizing your living situation) file a complaint for animal neglect/abuse?

Dreamstalker, there happened to be a animal control officer out and I stopped to talk to him. Unless there is physical abuse that they can see, in the state of MI, NOTHING can be done. There isn't even any rules as to how long a animal can be in a cage as well. But I have the officer's card just in case anything comes up and I do have something to report with better proof then "I said, they said".

My suggestion is to keep a diary of everything he does (or rather, doesn't do) with/about the dog. Notes always help.

Glad to hear your living situation seems to have worked out!

As for the pup, do what you can, and as Tama said, document, document, document. You never know when it might come in handy.
