I'm starting a thread to hear your tips and tricks for using vBulletin / navigating CS.

Does anyone use either mobile or cobalt as the "style?" I use cobalt myself, seems a little mellower contrast.

Does anyone subscribe to threads they post in. I usually just do an "Advanced Search" on my own handle every once in a while to see what people have said after mine if it slips from the front page.

On the reply front, what are the advantages to all those different reply buttons? I've developed what is probably a convoluted open "Reply w/ Quote" in a new tab sort of thing, but I bet there's a better way.

    Thoughts? Tips?

I tend to navigate with the new posts option, using the black dot to tell me if I've posted in a particular thread, I tend to read those first though, I still haven't figured the whole 'multiple quote' thing though.
A PSA, if I may, as well as another.

To do a multiple quote, use this button: located right beside the quote button
Click on that button within each post that you want to quote. It will change colour to indicate that it has been selected.
Once you have chosen all the quotes you wish to use, hit "Post Reply" (See below.)
Your reply will come up with all quotes in it, and then you edit each quote to leave only the relevant parts.

Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

There we go. I was ignorant of the whole black dot thing. VERY handy! Ree's explanation of the multi quote is a good one, but I think I still prefer to just open the pertinent in tabs, edit, then copypasta without submitting.

            .

Does anyone use either mobile ?

BTW: I learned the hardway. If you go to mobile, there is NO WAY to change it outside of Raps. It looks really horrible too.

Works really well for mobile phones though. Go figure.
Keeps page sizes under 10Kb in most cases.

                Au contraire!

Every moderator should be able to alter that. However, look at http://www.customerssuck.com/board/s...ad.php?t=16970 and see GBM's advice.
