  • Can't use controls or smileys

I'm logged in, yet when I start a thread, post a reply or quote, I'm not able to use the font, size, etc. controls. The smileys don't work either. When I mouse over or click on any buttons or smileys, absolutely nothing happens. Any idea what's going on?

Do you see the controls? (Most of them don't show up if you hit 'quick reply'). What happens when you click them? What browser are you using (version as well)? The 'more' option for smilies can be hit by pop-up blockers. Screenshots?

      Hi Rapscallion.

I'm using IE 5.50. I can see the controls just fine, but when I click on them, they do nothing.

I'm not sure what you meant by "Screenshots?" - did you want to see one from my computer?

It's quite probably a case of your browser being too old to handle the newer codes, though I could be wrong. Are you able to upgrade it? Would you be able to download something like Opera or Firefox and try them out?

Screenshots - thinkng about it, they're unlikely to tell us anything.

Thank you for your help and advice. One of these days when I have some time, I'll have to try upgrading. Thanks again.

It had gotten really bad, to the point where I couldn't even post anymore. Then I got a virus and had to reset my computer. After that, something made me decide to try Firefox. Problems solved!!! Thanks again.
