  • Flag Moderator official posts?

Sometimes (10-30%) I can't quite tell if a moderator is making an official statement or just participating in a thread.

Would it be viable for them to mark the 'official' posts with something?

Usually I tend to notice the "official" notes as containing the keywords "fratching" or "rules."

            hehe, good point

I suppose an easy way to go about it would be for the mod to simply start with a little header

            **OFFICIAL MOD POST**

or something like that. Of course, they'd have to remember to do it.

I can't speak for the others, but I would say most of my posts are official mod posts unless I specify otherwise.

                This, for me.

Then again, my rule is "If you're not sure, err on the side of caution."

In other words, if you *think* it's a modly post, and you're not going to ask anyone for clarification, you're better off just assuming it is a modly injunction, rather than risking getting a thread closed for continuing down a track.

then they could PM said mod to ask if they meant it as such?
Yeah. We appreciate people asking clarification, or if a thread might be too Fratching, or anything.
