  • Getting Logged Out Not On Purpose

On my Mac, if I leave the site, or even leave the room for more than 5 minutes while the site is up and logged in, I am automatically logged out when I go to check New Posts, for example, or refresh the page.

On my PC, it doesn't seem to matter. I am logged on for as long as I want.

This goes both for this site and for Fratching.

    I am using Firefox.

I think I tried that once. Okay, just logged out, then in and have tried it again. Thanks, sweetie!

I've been having the same problem - i can be reading a long post with many replies, and if i try to add a reply or, if my advise/opinion has already been stated, then to go back to the unread new posts, i'll get the message that " you don't have permission to do that, please register or log in" - it mainly happens at my work, but also on my laptop - but it didn't happen on my desktop at home, and i also use firefox for my browser on all 3 - and yes i clicked the remember me on all 3 - it takes nothing to log back in, just hit T and it pulls my info up ....

I know. It just gets annoying after awhile.

It goes by computer. So if you want to be remembered at different computers, your going to have to hit that everytime.

It also logs you out if you clear your cookies.

                Or restart your computer sometimes.

Funny, I have never had to re-login on my PC, though. And I turn everything off at night.

If you click that then it should remember it. Have you tried clearing your cache on your browser? Maybe try deleting your cookie for this site and then revisiting and logging in, with the appropriate tick box?
