Limits on literature posted?

I was just wondering... could I post a story in the lit forum that has, shall we say, x-rated themes? I don't mean sexual; just that this story I'm currently writing is based on the Jack the Ripper murders and has some gore and violence in it. Could I post it, if I put a warning at the start?

People who don't like cats were probably mice in an earlier life.

All threads submitted into the Literature forum are moderated, meaning that they will not appear until a moderator approves them. So go ahead and post it; if it's too much we will let you know.

ETA: And yes, please add warnings/disclaimers to both the thread title and the top of the post.
