    So a guy from my state (ugh) got caught out for dangerous driving. What the police weren't expecting was that the guys car didn't have a steering wheel...

    He'd been using a pair of vice grips to steer.

      I know a guy that drove a '53 chevy across 3 states using just vice grips because he didn't feel like stopping to get a new steering wheel.

      Yeah, we all thought he was nuts.

          Well, I once drove my IH scout from an SCA event in Central NJ back home to eastern CT using a wire poached from the sound system to act as a manual accelerator pedal when the bolt or whatever holding the linkage sheared off.

          [when it is after midnight and you are more or less broke and don't have AAA, you do tend to get creative]
          EVE Online: 99% of the time you sit around waiting for something to happen, but that 1% of action is what hooks people like crack, you don't get interviewed by the BBC for a WoW raid.
