    Michael Jackson's not performing - I want a refund

    Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson The Immortal tour is currently touring across Australia, and if the video clip in the article is anything to go by, it looks like a brilliant show.

    However, one person in Melbourne genuinely expected Michael Jackson to be at the show, and apparently demanded a refund when they found out he wasn't performing.

    A) How long has he been dead for?

    B) If he was alive today, he wouldn't be touring arenas, he'd be touring stadiums!

    He passed away in 2009. That was HUGE news all over the world that was reported on for weeks on end. Somebody by now who doesn't know that must have been living under a big ass rock since then.

      That would be funny if it weren't so gawdawful. Maybe they're one of the "truthers" who never believed Jackson actually died?

        No, they're just oblivious to everything beyond the reach of their own nose. Missing Jackson's death is the least of it.

        I guarantee that as of this moment, somewhere in this country there is a person who has no idea why 9/11 is a significant date. And I don't mean somebody living in Amish country without a TV or buried in the backwoods of the Pacific Northwest or wherever. Just some random ditz who doesn't read, doesn't watch TV news, and isn't really interested in the world.

          I can show you many. Many, many people below the age of 15, possibly even 20, have no clue what happened on 9/11, who was involved and why it mattered. I don't know if it's different in the US, but I can promise that is the case in Australia. Many people born after 1991 will struggle to understand the implications of that day.

              There was a piece several years back on those "tabloid entertainment" shows about some guy who tried to sue John Farnham. Why?

              Because he'd announced that he was retiring from doing full-scale national tours. He'd still record and do smaller tours, but the guy got pissed that the name of the tour "The Last Time" was NOT his last tour. The guy did not win and to add insult to injury, the ACCC (government consumer watchdog) did not take any action against Farnham.

                I saw that in LV last year. Wait, you mean that wasn't Elvis?????
