Of course, if you tried to enforce this sort of thing, some SC would pitch a bitch.

But if a SC pitches a fit over the charge, the cafe slaps on another charge for being rude AGAIN - brilliant!

Of course, since it's a French cafe, they could have been planning on ripping off American tourists, and a faulty translation assumed that "yank" and "jerk" were synonyms in all contexts, not just when you're dealing with a rope.

Actually it's an extension of common courtesy in European locations. Over there there's little tolerance for abuse of staff. Bitch and scream over there and you'll get your ass tossed out instead of getting pandered to.
