  • The Anime Archive - Reviews by yours truly >_>

Ok, so here's the lowdown. Back in 2011 I started a small site known as Teshimine's Anime Archive, where I was going to write reviews for anime series that I felt deserved either a heap of praise or a text-related beatdown, but due to financial issues I had been going through at the time, I ended up having to give up some luxuries I had at the time, including some domain names under my ownership.

I'm not one to give things up easily however, so I've decided to give the anime archive a new home under my personal website and get things back up and running again. I kind of want to do some reviews on animes that people would actually like to see given a bit of a beatdown or a decent review from a different point of view.

I've got some of my older reviews up already and have a poll running on a couple of sites to decide what my next review will be (to be done Feb 1st), at the moment it looks likely that I will be reviewing .hack//SIGN. I will quite happily accept suggestions or requests for a particular series - No hentai requests though. Gotta keep it SFW.

If you want to check it out, head on over to http://glenstradwick.com/animearchive

Hentai... Is that when they're chasing the chickens for bondage?

Heh. Hentai literally means 'perverted' in Japanese, so it is basically animated pornography.

        Think tentacle porn.

Although hentai in itself is just....scary.

              Mmmmmm, anime.

I can vouch for Sword Art Online; I've watched the series & movie. Looks good, interesting idea -- What would happen if people got trapped in a totally immersive virtual MMO (no way to logout) with Permadeath (for the user) enabled?

Sounds very similar in ways to the .hack series

Its not. It explores the ramifications quite a bit more realistically. Although the whole thing goes to shit in the second half. >.>

Currently on the air, Log Horizon explores a similar concept but from a political/economic perspective.

SAO does have a radical gear change for the last 1/3 of the series, but its reasoning does make a weird kind of sense.

"Hero" and " Devil" have similar themes, and could be combined to 1 article as they are both 13 episodes long.

Toradora! is a fairly standard high school romantic comedy with a twist. ditto Baka and Test

Maken-Ki is a high school T&A ecchi brain candy.

You forgot the feels! I'm waiting for the second season, and dammit it better be simulcast on Crunchyroll.
                      Random conversation:
Me: Okay..so I think I get why Zoro wears a bandana
                      DDD: Cuz it's cool

So, by using the Doctor's reasoning, bow ties, fezzes and bandanas are cool.

Heehee. I watched SAO and the movie on Daisuki. Similar idea, but small-scale, and they have a good variety of current and classic anime. Plus, ya know, free

(not linking because they have a shop on the site)

Sorry guys! WAAAAAY behind schedule due to RL stuff, but here is part 2. I'm going to really pull finger this weekend and hope to have the Slayers TRY review out early this coming week.

                              Next month's intended reviews:

                              Angelic Layer
                              Midori no Hibi (Midori Days)
                              Mahou Sensei Negima
                              Vampire Princess Miyu

(Yes, I intend to do Sailor Moon, but it will likely be another "Month" series, so I can focus on R, S, SuperS and Stars)
                              Violets are blue,
                              Roses are red,
