I am tempted to wonder though, if your Metro is the same paper as my Metro. Here it is a free paper they hand out in the subways, but I have never seen anything so blatantly incorrect as that story. You would think that they could have at least found a picture of a lamb with a poodle shave for the pictures to give just a teeny tiny bit of credibility

I hope they weren't cutting off those long lopey ears on the sheep. I have just got to see them side by side, cause I just don't see how you can mistaken a sheep for a poodle. I have been around sheep for a long time and cannot see this. You really have to be a true city person to fall for this (No offence to the city folk here).

Sheep are up there in rareness with echidnas in Japan. It is concievable that most Japanese people would have no idea whatsoever.

Or completely unaware of basic animal (especially canine) anatomy. I'm a life-long city dweller and even I can tell the difference between the two species!
