  • "Duh" and "Boo"

    http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/missing/mccann.asp

These parents figured that it would be fine to simply check on their kids, sleeping in a ground-floor hotel room, every half-hour during their meal in a restaurant 40 yards away.

In a perfect world, it would be, but . . .

now their beautiful daughter has been abducted!

I don't know whether to or or about this one.

The parents are idiots for not hiring a babysitter and now the kid has to pay for their stupidity. Family friendly does not equal no one will break in to steal your stuff or kids.

And what is with stating that the little girl was born through IVF treatments. How is that germaine to the kidnapping?
Figers are vicious I tell ya. They crawl up your leg and steal your belly button lint.

    I'm a case study.

[SARCASM] Because obviously because they spent thousands of dollars to get pregnant, they love and care for their child more than everyone else who isn't physiologically challenged [/SARCASM]
The only words you said that I understood were "His", "Phone" and "Ya'll". The other 2 paragraphs worth was about as intelligible as a drunken Teletubby barkin' come on's at a Hooter's waitress.

        That poor little girl.

Parents are idiots. Flat out idiots.

Even if the little girl wasn't abducted, even if no one broke in, do they not have ANY idea what kids can do in 30 minutes?

If those babies woke up, they could cause one hell of a mess, not to mention GET HURT. Or walk aout the door.

It's been headline news over here for some time, actually, since the parents are British. The reward for information leading to her safe return is already at 1.5 million (probably more - that's about 3 million USD or the state budget for Ice Cream for Quebec) last I heard.

They arrested and then released a man (keeping his computer, video camera, cameras etc for examination), but he's not allowed to talk about the case due to Portugese law. Instead, his cousin's doing that for him. Odly enough, he's pleading innocence.

Granted, they checked every half hour (well, so they said), but leaving the door unlocked? Anyone watching could see they weren't locking the door.

          Sad.

If I remember correctly from early reports they were at a resort site that offered free childcare, but they didn't want to leave their children with a stranger.

              F.

The really really evil part of me hopes that girl dies a horrible death so that her parents will have to live the rest of their lives thinking about what their negligence did to their daughter.

The other, thankfully much larger part of me, hopes she is found and comes back safe, because nobody deserves to die like that.

I think a call to the British equivalent of CPS is in order. Anybody who thinks nothing about leaving their children alone unattended, even if they are only a few yards away, should not be a parent. Kids those little need to be by your side at all times.
Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Study hard. Be evil.
