I've suffered through 'edited for content' versions of both Ghostbusters flicks (of which there are multiple versions) and in nearly all of them, something is left out which leaves some sort of plot hole and the alternate dialogue can get annoying--you know something's been replaced as the sound quality is worse and it rarely syncs up right. The only thing that makes those fun is figuring out exactly what was cut, where and why.
I can't think of what a 'clean' version of Crouching Tiger would be like...
