    Bill Barnes,

I originally found the story on my home page, http://www.comcast.net/express.html where there is a photo of Barnes. 72 years old or not, I wouldn't want to get in a fight with him!

Ha! I hadn't seen the story before, but it happened right down the street from my store.

    Here's a link with a little more detail: http://www.mlive.com/grandrapids/sto...220.xml&coll=6

"At 6 feet and 195 pounds, Barnes is taller and weighs more than the 5-foot-9, 135-pound Rae. But Barnes acknowledged he was out of gas by the time Dutcher came to his aid, explaining he suffers from chronic obstruction pulmonary disease.

"I could hardly breathe," Barnes said after the ordeal, which the store employees agreed lasted the better part of four minutes, including the time Rae unsuccessfully struggled to break free before deputies arrived. "

I bet some greedy lawyer is going to have the stupid thief try to sue Barnes. Barnes is just lucky that he felt the hand in his pocket!

I think it's funny how the cashier came around the counter. What was she going to do in that fracas? lol.
