I don't know if any of our international members ever got a chance to see this, but there is... I should say was, nothing better than checking out at the grocery store and stopping to see the latest sighting of Bat Boy or that the world's fattest man married the world's smallest woman, or that zombies ate New Hampshire. The Weird Al song "Midnight Star" was inspired by WWN. The off-the-wall rumour rag "The Quibbler" in the Harry Potter series reminds me of it. They didn't even pretend to report anything even remotely resembling truth, relying on absurd stories and poorly doctored photos.
