Bidding that much for some chewed up cards wouldn't make sense for me, except the winning bidder's money gets donated the the humane society of their choice. If it's for a good cause, who cares what they're buying

I thought I saw on the news that someone donated a bunch of his jerseys to a humane society and they are going to use them for animal bedding and rags? Or was that just a hallucination?

As for the cards as long as the winning bid goes to the charity then I agree with CSR Kim and Ryu. Good publicity and some donated bucks are not a bad combo.
