    Too funny and too true.

I like the one about dumb locals. But in NY after a tornado in Brooklyn (IIRC) they interviewed one great example:

Reporter: Did you see the tornado?
Brotha: Naw, man, but yeah like, my fren he call me up an' was like "you hear about that to'nado up in Brooklyn?" an' I was like "Naw, you (censored)in' kiddin' me man, this ain't Kansas!"

Heh heh heh....the weather part is especially salient for us Portlanders. Holy crap! It's raining again!
Whoa fuck! Snow! (well, 3 flakes anyways...) Let's devote an entire broadcast to hanging at the base of this one kind of icy hill and laugh at the idiots who keep sliding down it because they were too stupid to use their traction devices! Surely, there's nothing else interesting going on in the city or really even the whole world, other than idjits crashing into shit! Yay!

Yeah, but they forgot the inane giggling and forced laughter at the co-reporter's even more inane and forced jokes.

I hate how the idiots on the news make trivial crap seem important & important stuff seem trivial.

You gotta move to Wi in the winter for some of the weather broadcasts.

I remember one week they were forecasting a huge snowstorm on Thursday and Friday.

            It got to Thursday.

"Yes, we've been monitoring the pattern of this storm and it looks like it will be hitting northwest WI sometime this evening"

Thursday evening. No snow. The flakes didn't start until Friday morning.

"Looks like we were wrong. The storm took a southern dip and hit LaCrosse instead."

            Twits.
