This line, in particular, pissed me off: Gas station/convenience store clerk: OK, so the whole "risk of being robbed" thing can make this a really bad job.
I emailed the columnist about this. Like I've mentioned numerous times, I was robbed. Twice. Exactly three weeks apart. This is not something I take lightly.

Just in case anyone is curious, this is a copy of my email.
I'm sure you didn't mean to sound flippant, but I have to take major offense at the following: OK, so the whole "risk of being robbed" thing can make this a really bad job.
Please explain to me why you would put that in quotes. I've been robbed twice, and I live with that fear 24/7, not just for me, but for my friends and coworkers. I've heard about other gas stations near the one I work at that have been robbed, and the employees shot at. It is a risk we take every day, and it shouldn't be belittled.
I love my job, and take it seriously. I care about my coworkers, and don't want them going through that experience.
Please keep in mind that what seems meaningless to you is very important to many others.
Sincerely,
Bella_Vixen
