See, in my family, cops would be that guy's best and only hope. Because if someone did that to me or my sisters or cousins, and the cops DIDN'T get him, the only evidence that might surface that this homely son of a bitch ever existed might be a handful of very fat, well-fed maggots and possibly some suspicious stains. He wouldn't even get to the dog-killing part. He'd be fertilizing wildflowers somewhere long before that point.

I've been thinking about this, and the more I do, the madder I get.

Oh, make no mistake, this guy is a sick, evil, deranged piece of ambulatory fecal material. No question there.

However, what the hell was the girl's family's excuse? They failed to protect this child from this guy. I got the idea from reading the article that the business of holding the girl against her will in his house happened MORE THAN ONCE. The contact he had with this girl was not a one time thing. It was ongoing. And the family never at any point put a stop to it. What the frig did the EXPECT would happen? They are very lucky the girl was not raped or murdered. This guy was clearly abusive, manipulative, and capable of violence. These are the guys who end up killing women.

I think he should have been in jail long before the dog incident. Or at least getting some sort of help, there had to have been more signs before it all happened. You know, kidnapping and all that.

I don't get that either. If my kid were to complain about an acquaintance in that manner, no way would I let the situation continue. And if said acquaintance would not let my kid come home, I'd either call the cops or go down there myself, and the jerk had better pray I call the cops!

I pretty much agree with what everyone else has posted. This is just sick, and horrible from all sides.
