  • Worst Mayor in America

Can this be real? Anyone in or around Jackson who can confirm this? It just seems to me that there's no way a person like this could even get elected, let alone not be forced out of office.

You get what you vote for. I say keep him in office if the majority keeps voting his sorry ass in.

Doesn't say too much for the intelligence of the voters in that neck of the woods, does it?

Yeah but the idea of trading in freedom and liberty for perceived safety and security is (sadly) a popular idea nationwide since 9/11. With the "Patriot Act" in place I dont think the FBI even has a leg to stand on investigating this idiot.

          Actually, they do.

Warrants are still required to search homes and vehicles without the consent of the tenants/owners, unless in a case where it is suspected that evidence is likely to be destroyed before a warrant can be obtained.* If "Frank" tries to play that card, the book will ask for probable cause or reasonable suspicion, and saying that they "thought somebody may have been driving around with drugs" in the case of the traffic stop, or that "somebody said they bought pot there" in the case of the house raid won't hold up in court.

The unwarranted raid of the strip club, the arrest of the videotaping man and his subsequent beating, and other similar antics might have slipped through, if it weren't made obvious by "Frank's" shouting "close this motherf*cker down!" that he had little interest in enforcing the law and was instead trying again to shut down the club on "moral" grounds.

Also, his illegal concealment of firearms on his person (when it's obscenely easy for any elected official or government figure to obtain the required licenses to do so legally) will screw him later.

I think it's a toss-up between his conviction in court and his "accidental" death.

*EDIT: Or in cases of national security. Wiretapping and the like is made legal by the PatAct but random searching of civilians' homes without prior knowledge or reasonable suspicion of terrorist activity is not.
