    My hat is off to the five people who saved the lady.

    What I love about this article is the picture of the (attempted) rapist. Yeah, they just held him until the police came then he became really clumsy, right?

    It says they held him. Didn't say they held him carefully...

    Seriously, though, God bless them. They did what was right and helped that poor woman. If only more people had that kind of courage.

      From the looks of him, it would have had to have taken more than 1 person to take him down. I'm glad that poor woman didn't have to fight him herself.

          Three things I hate most in the world: wife beaters, rapists and child molesters.

          This guy looks a little to clean and tidy for my taste. They should have laid into him a little more with a metal baseball bat and REALLY teach the ratbastard a lesson.

              Try a wooden bat, drill it out and fill it with buckshot for that added punch (tm scottish criminals)

              I think reasonable force was used on this chap, maybe a little leniant...

                  It's funny how sometimes a guy can have a lot of accidents when he's just sitting around waiting for the cops to show up. Guy at Pennsic was stalking a woman and ended up in her tent. He got detained while the cops were called for and just...I dunno...fell down A LOT while he was waiting. He must've been very clumsy.

                    GAH! I can't remember where it's from now, but there is a quote "The most dangerous place in the world to be is standing on the corner minding your own business."

                    ETA: There was a link to an ER doc discussion page. Apparantly, everyone is just SOCMOB (Standing On the Corner Minding my Own Business) when they get beat up/shot/stabbed.
                    The only words you said that I understood were "His", "Phone" and "Ya'll". The other 2 paragraphs worth was about as intelligible as a drunken Teletubby barkin' come on's at a Hooter's waitress.
