          That's funny! Thanks for sharing.
I will not shove “it” up my backside. I do not know what “it” is, but in my many years on this earth I have figured out that that particular port hole is best reserved for emergency exit only. -GK

Direct links to the Dilbert site are perishable (only the most recent month of archives are available). Today (November 3rd), I tried to access the October 3rd cartoon by editing the URL from one of those links (worked), and the October 2nd cartoon (got a "sorry, no longer available" page).

Before the links expire, would it be possible for the original posters to find a workaround so that readers of this thread would still be able to find the cartoons but CS wouldn't be exposed to copyright violation suits?
Any fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.

Hmm - don't think so. By the terms and nature of copyright, and the implicit rights they have by offering their strips free for a limited period, I can't think of a legal way, apart from getting written permission from Scott Adams or his lawyering team for use in a limited context.

What about just posting a recap of the dialogue in the strip, without the images?

Would that violate a copyright, since it's technically the artwork that's the big concern?
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

Interesting idea. The text is still copyright, but i'd be quite happy to risk it under fair use. We could always remove it if the lawyers of doom complain.

Probably posting the exact dialogue would be a violation, as you can copyright a speech, and posting just the words would make it easier to find through a search.
Plus there's the possibility of violating moral rights of keeping the work's integrity. Permission would likely be the safest, and sadly, easiest way to go. Probably nothing more than a quick email would be needed, and get a yes or no fairly quickly.
