My pharmacy has this policy and it really is stupid. It's just saying 'hey come take what you want'

Might as well just spread the word. Not that teenagers and the elderly needed any more ammunition to shoplift anyway. They already always get away with it because they are considered too young to know right from wrong, and they just assume the elderly are too senile to understand right from wrong.

Let's just wait until enough security guards have been attacked, enough gates have been demolished, and millions of dollars in losses total up. Then we'll see what happens.

Geez, what is with these places going soft on shoplifters?! Did someone neuter McGruff the Crime Dog?!

I agree with the guy on the video, this is total BS. They might as well have everything free and let everybody take what they want. Cowardly, spineless and utterly pathetic.

I saw this first hand in TJ Maxx a few weeks ago. Two young females went to town shoplifting goods. The police were called and basically told them that if they did it again they would be banned from the store! Again?! Banned?!

Hang on, I have to run to Walmart to grab a few items.

That is why the prices have skyrocketed. Don't press charges, just increase prices.

Hell, save us all the trouble, give everything away for free. Work at a 100% loss.

That's exactly what happens when you turn on your back on the small-time shoplifters.

They just come back and back and make sure they don't steal more than the magic amount. Pretty soon it has the same effect as those people who steal thousands of dollars worth of stuff in one go.

As former LP in a store that went to a do not arrest policy I can assure you that Walmarts policy will bite them royally on the arse, it will decimate them if they do not prosecute under 18 or over 65, both demographics are your prolific shoplifter age range.

Whats with the resist and let go policy, around 65% of the shoplifters I detained resisted, some violently damned if I'm going to let go of some little punk who gave me a chinese burn (no really he did).
