I guess they're stupid enough to think that the people who handle thousands of dollars every day don't know what denominations the US Mint prints, or how to tell a counterfeit note from a real one. Ah well, one less dumbass on the streets.

I'm not sure who is is. It looks like a cross between McKinley & Teddy Roosevelt to me. It's the mustache, or what looks like a mustache, that is throwing me off.

Now that I've seen the clearer, non-rumpled version of the bill (thank-you Hon'ya-chan), I have to concur that it does look more like Cleveland than McKinley or Roosevelt. My eyes like to play tricks on me.

I have a feeling someone else created that bill (perhaps some sort of protest against the Federal Reserve system?) To me it seems like someone willing to go through the trouble of finding a portrait of President Cleveland and creating a phony note that shows some artistic talent ... wouldn't be stupid enough to try depositing it in a bank.

It's not like you could show up at a 7-11 and expect change for it.

I remember $1M bills that you can buy from the novelty shops. They feature the Statue of Liberty on the face and also the words: "Not negotiable." They are rather fun to leave around, though.

Wouldn't you love to come across one of these? It wouldn't be useful, but it's fun to think about the value one note held—and those are 1934 dollars: right after the great gold confiscation of 1933. Hmm, that would be something to call into Coast to Coast AM about.

Not so much the denomination, which was only a cool half mill (GBP though), but the fact that the idiots tried to hand over 26 billion pounds worth.

I've actually seen one of those. They're something a church printed out with some message about "Finding Jesus" on the other side. So this is Tool #2 that got arrested trying to pass one.

Why doesnt that surprise me??? Nothing common at all about "common sense".
