    George 'Johnny' Johnson-the last of the Dambusters-has passed away at the age of 101

      The Wife has been interested in the Dam Busters for a while. There are three or four books on them around here. She even chased down a couple of movies. Some very interesting things this bunch did.

      One of the last of the heroes from the Greatest Generation.

        Alas it will not be too many years before the passing of the last soldier to have fought in WWII-those who are alive are in their 90s at least.
