Not sure about the patriot gaurd, but it did say they were 2 blocks away. After their protest in Lincoln a few years back Governor Johanns enacted a law about protesting funeral services (I think it was that they had to be 900 yards away) and they are currently being charged in Bellevue for protesting a fuleral where one of the church members had her 7-year-old son walking on an american flag, they were charged with child endangerment and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and it was the first military funeral that they had been arrested at. Go sarpy county!

Wish I could be there but I have practice for our show this Friday from 5 til Gord knows when. I'm still rather sad about the whole ordeal but life keeps trudging on.

Yeah they're supposed to be. I'm again hoping their caravan gets stuck in the ice and snow and they have to sit there miserable for 12 hours. (I'm being nice)

I just got a phonecall from a friend saying that westboro baptist church will be at the westroads tommorow night celebrating the deaths of the 9 people who died. For those of you who aren't familiar with this lovely group of vermin, they're the same ones who go all around the country protesting soldiers funerals and celebrating the deaths of gay people with signs that say things like "thank god for dead soldiers" "thank god for IEDs" "god hates fags"

I don't know what to think. I've had it in for these guys for ages, ever since they held one of their protests in Lincoln... Snap, Bunny, please tell me that going to jail is a bad thing and that these people (if they can be called that) aren't worth the trouble!

Either way this is just bad for Omaha, please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

I'll try to keep my censor button on here. Those low life pieces of scum do not deserve the words I'm using here. I will relish the day that they are put in their place and God asks them "What were you thinking?"

That said, it is also their plan to be stationed outside of all of the funeral services. I'm thinking we need the freedom riders (can't remember their exact names) to escort the families and stand outside of the churches.

I am mad, seriously mad. If you're in or close to Omaha, there will be a bunch of people meeting at 6pm and will be forming a "wall" around Von Maur to protest these wastes of human form. It is supposed to be peaceful, lets keep it that way.
