Now, I don't know much about Hindu gods, but I wouldn't be going around making demands to any gods. And this guy wants 2 of them to show up? At what point between the city being flooded with a river of blood and the dead rising against the living will he consider that maybe he did something really stupid?

Well, considering the Hindu belief in reincarnation, I suppose they could just find a couple of interesting people willing to claim they're the next incarnations of said gods.

I don't know enough of about the hindu religon, but perhaps judging their gods by the bible's standards won't be the best approach. Mind you anyone who'd claim to be a god should probably be locked up but it might be more acceptable for all we know.
