Yeah, but it was a recognized landmark. True that where he lived is irrelevant, but these teens just trashed a nice tourist attraction. And trust me, Vermont needs all the tourist attractions it can get! (Runs away!)
*Your friendly neighbor to the south...Jim: Fact: Bears eat beets. Bears. Beets. Battlestar Gallactica.
Dwight: Bears don't eat bee... Hey! What are you doing?

And where were their parents?! I hope they find all of theNo arrests have been made, Hodsden said, adding that they've tracked down some partygoers and believe they are minors.
jerks who did this and make them pay out the nose!
This wasn't just some old house, it was a piece of history. While it's 100% true that Frost's writing is far more important than the house, that still doesn't negate its worth, nor does it make it okay to trash it.

That makes me sad. Kids these days just don't have any respect for history. No, they just don't have any sense of discipline, period!
There's another Robert Frost historical site in New Hampshire. I used to drive by it all the time when I used to take the back roads home when I was working at an amusement park. Heck, my college (Southern NH University) even had it's main lecture hall named after Robert Frost.
I mean, there isn't much to do up here in Vermont other than drink and smoke pot for most people, but for crying out loud, do that stuff at your own house! Don't ruin historical sites for the few people who do visit those places (although, I rather like not being inundated with tourists up here. I got enough of them in Virginia.).Suddenly, Vermont became the epicenter of the dystopia.

Asheville, NC feels your pain. The boarding house that Thomas Wolfe immortalized in his best novel, Look Homeward, Angel, stands downtown. Wolfe grew up there. In 1999, someone set it on fire, destroying about a quarter of the artifacts on display inside, and causing more than $2 million in damage. I hope things can be put right quickly up there.Drive it like it's a county car.
