not to be ot, but if anyone here watches anime, on Samurai Champloo there is an episode where one of the characters Mugen is engaged in a Japanese bug fighting match.
The bugs in the matches are rhinoceros beetles. Pretty huge bugs,huh.I don't get paid enough to kiss your a**! -Groezig 5/31/08

If they had been dogs everyone would be outraged at these fights, but since they're just ugly, disgusting insects it's ok.
I'm not trying to slam anyone, I just think it's funny that under different circumstances most people would be angry that 2 creatures were being forced to fight to the death for our amusement. If this thread had been about dogfighting there would be about 50 replies by now, but since insects aren't cute and cuddly no one minds.
Again, I'm not slamming anyone, I'm just sayin'...Comment
