So sad. Dead at only 41 of cancer.

Such a waste, but apparently, he has been on borrowed time since he was 3.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

I heard this on the radio this morning. The announcer (Bill Carole of CFRB 1010) was a friend of the family and they actually had some dead air and went to commercial a couple of times because he was so broken up. I think he was at the hospital last night when he passed.

Lovely way to start a Monday.

Yeah, I saw the headline on the morning paper and I found it so sad.

Something I haven't shared with the general membership is that a family member committed suicide last week at age 35.
I have been really devastated by it.

It was such a waste, but I know he had severe depression and mental health issues.
He never really knew how his life had touched the world. If he had been there this weekend, he would have known.

When I see someone like Jeff Healey who was so vital and accomplished so much, I want to cry for both of these losses of young life.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

I am terribly sorry, Ree. Was this your brother-in-law? If I recall correctly, you mentioned previously that he had some issues.

I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts.

If you have to ask, it's probably better posted at www.fratching.com

              No, it was a cousin.
I used to babysit him, and I watched him grow up.
He was a really great guy.

Jeff Healey's death hit me hard because he was such a talented guy who overcame so many obstacles.

He didn't have a choice in his death, and if he did, I have no doubt that he would have chosen life.

I realize my cousin was not in his right mind, but I can't help but feel a little angry that he did have a choice, and he chose wrong.
He has no idea what a loss it was to all of us. He honestly didn't know how much he was loved.
              That's very sad.

The song that broke him in the States, "Angel Eyes" has long been a favorite of mine. I feel for his family and hope that they are left alone to grieve and heal.
