Springtime and animals!
For any Persian-oriented readers out there, Happy Nowruz! 
And this is for all us animal lovers out there. Ashton Frieders was a lovely young woman who was tragically killed in a car accident last year. She was a huge animal lover and to this end had wanted to become a veterinarian; she put in a lot of hard work volunteering at a local animal shelter and fostering stray animals. Her family wanted to do something special in her name, so they created Ashton's Ark, a fund dedicated to helping shelter animals in the area.
