  • Ask the cable guy to not block your driveway? Lose your service!

    http://consumerist.com/380153/ask-co...ly-lose-signal

Guy comes home and sees the cable guy blocking his driveway. He politely asks CG to move. 10 minutes later, no service, and the call center techs conveniently see no troubles in his service.

You'd think Comcast would've learned their lesson after the Bitch Dog fiasco, but apparently not.

If I were the tech manager there in SF, I'd send a high-end tech out there as soon as possible when it is convenient for the customer. I'd pay OT if I had to.

I'd find out the state of this guy's connection. If it had been undone, I'd immediately terminate (with any prejudice possible) the jerk in the truck, issue an apology and several months worth of credit.

I'd then pass this incident onto legal to see if there's anything we could do the the initial tech who started the whole thing.

Ok, so even if the tech wasn't the one that disconnected the cable he should still be fired for the fact that he blocked someone's driveway... especially in a limited parking area that is beyond apology.

Why does it NOT surprise me that cable TV has consistently ranked at the BOTTOM of customer satisfaction surveys???

Simple. In many areas, they're a monopoly...and can get away with it. They're much like the gas or water companies. They simply don't care about their customers, and since there's no alternative...there's not a damn thing you can do about it. Well, other than getting a dish...
