  • Most hazardous sports

Maybe parents looking at different sports for the kids will find this interesting.

This is more of a personal crack-me-up than anything, seeing as how my mother forced me to play on the basketball team from the time I was nine years old (causing irreparable damages to my knees and ribcage, among other things), but the thought of me getting into wrestling terrifies her.

Then again, I didn't exactly play basketball "nice" either, I was more or less the team assassin.

I have to be honest, I was quite amazed hockey didn't even place, though. It was hockey games that taught me that blood and vomit bounce on ice, after all...

I still think cheese rolling is the most dangerous sport out there!
A PSA, if I may, as well as another.

You better watch yourself, or we'll be taking this to fratching toot-sweet!

Yeah, but hockey is usually much more "organized." The heavy hitters from the list seem to be things that people "think" they're good at from childhood, but aren't really in shape for anymore and are doing casually... And I can totally see bicycling, but I would put money on the majority of injuries coming from that group who are doing it as alternative transportation (me and others on the road) or as a sole means of transport: kids.

Yeah, but in hockey, they hand you a stick and strap knives to your feet so you can commit ATTEMPTED MURDER during the game.

...I didn't get to play hockey again after that incident...

This is a 'tradition', broken bones are common.

(GK, if you're reading this expect calls from people who take part...)
