  • stargate fans: sad news

I know there are a few Stargate fans on here...Don S. Davis passed away the other day. I'm going to miss him. General Hammond was one of my favorite characters on SG-1.

    I'm very sad.

Man, 2008 has been a tough year for my favorite actors/celebs/news people.

He will live on in our hearts and DVDs. I never got to meet the man, though I know I would have loved to. He will be missed.

I do hope we don't have a long rash of losing actors from Stargate. The Babylon 5 run was hard enough.

I second Hotfoot on all points. He was a great actor with good screen presence, and he will be missed.

        RIP Don S Davis

Character actor Don S Davis has passed away at age 65 of a heart attack. Probably best known from Stargate SG-1.

Since I have a Stargate forum avatar, I have modified my signature accordingly.

How sad! Hammond was also one of my favorite chaarcters and I was lookng forward to seeing Mr. Davis at Dragoncon in August.

This is a bad year for Dragoncon guests (Robert Asprin also passed away not too long ago).

Major Garland Briggs has gone to the great White Lodge. For shame.
