They do have the standard edition book for under $8....

Since It doesnt come out til December, I think that'll give me enough time to save and get the collectors edition...its too sexy to resist!

Pathetic. This is the same book that had a limited run and sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars at some auction house. She claimed it would never go into print again and all the proceeds would go to charity.

Thats what I thought too. I was disappointed when I heard it wasnt being published, but it was bought by Amazon.com in the first place so I figured it would be released eventually. It actually sold for $3,979,950.

I was close then. I was telling my SO about it last night. He figured JK Rowling got greedy and rereleased the book.

But since Amazon got greedy instead.... but then again, that was a smart business move on their part so I dunno.
