Oh yes, it contains the cells from your intestines as they are sloughed from the sides.

However as has been said the costs are prohibitive, hence why they are not run most of the time.

Allot of places don't require you to record it, just to check the ID and maybe a few telltale signs of a fake.

I didn't know that. When I had to take ID, I had to record it (granted, that was twenty years ago). Mea culpa.
