I kinda liked the Batman Beyond series. Maybe some villains from that?

I think that Nolan is going to redo the villains from the first movies again... the Dark Knight seems to be him modernizing what Tim Burton did with the original Batman, so maybe before doing anything new he'll modernize the other movies as well (if that made any sense).

My husband wants them to do the Broken Bat storyline, so they could use Bane (and, by extension, Azrael, his favorite Bat Family character).

I can't think of many Batman characters that suit the dark, urban mood of the new movies. I would like to see Killer Croc...but, you know...he's a dude with a crocodile head and all.

I think they should do the riddler and catwoman (yes a two fer)
The Riddler should be someone good, but i still tink anthony micheal hall because we already gave him and his character a good reason. Catwoman.... no angelina Angeline is more of a poison ivy type not cat woman. For cat woman i would pick Rosario Dawson, Jessica Alba, or i actually like the Maggie Gyllenhaal idea.
But if i could pick a Batgirl i would pick Alexis Bledle because come on she would be awesome!Oh and i think someone like Tanc Sade would make a good robin.
oh and you could have a harley quinn because at the end of the movie you could see a nice pretty young doctor sitting in a treatment room saying something like "Hello there Mr.... Joker? I am Dr. Harley Quinn. I think i can help you."

may I throw out as possibilities, Mark Rendall, maybe Luke Ford (big Maybe), Shia LaBeouf would definitely make a good candidate, Sean Maher would be good if he was a little younger, same could be said about Clayton Watson, maybe even Josh Hutchenson would be good (common trend... looking at good young actors... though I think I'd lean towards Shia sense he has done action before).

I think the penguin would be a good choice because the mob calling in an arms dealer to handle someone with more toys than they do would make sense. I could also see the riddler with the wayne enterprises employees he's pissed off.

As far as how to introduce robin, rumor had it that Christopher Nolan was carrying a copy of "The Long Halloween" around on the set of TDK and consulted it for Begins as well. The next installment of that story is "Dark Victory" and some of the main themes are Batman and Gordon beating themselves up over Harvey Dent, Gordon not being able to freely work with Batman due to a new DA leaning over his shoulder, Bruce Wayne's lonely personal life, and the introduction of Robin. I could see all of these being worked into the next movie given where this one left off. I'm not quite done with the book, but there are a plethora of characters including Catwoman, The Joker, The Riddler, Solomon Grundy, Penguin, Scarecrow, The Calendar Man, and others (Loeb and Sale have a thing for an ensamble of villans) as well as the mobs.

As far as casting, I would agree with Kate Beckinsale as catwoman based on her performance in the underworld movies, for the riddler Anthony Michael Hall could do it if they go off Mr Reese from TDK, but I think Paul Bettany or, stay with me here, Kevin Spacey would be awesome as well (nothing against Jonny Depp, I'm just one to root for the underdog, I put my faith in Heath Ledger when everyone was saying he'd never live up to Jack Nicholson and now I'm doing the I told ya so dance). Phillip Seymour Hoffman could nail the penguin for sure, Haven't thought much about who else would be good for that one, Willem DaFoe maybe???

I quite like angie, but not for catwoman. Too obvious, I think, while she's a very hot woman I see catwoman as more of a typically athletic physique. Tall, slender, quite muscular. Not sure of the actresses name, but I do have someone in mind- her names right on the tip of my tongue, as well. Gah.
