This made my entire day this afternoon when I read the words that Jack is out out out. So not only a whoot whoot, but about time haha.

Suffice to say that this (now former) attorney is a showboating jackass with some sort of personal vendetta against games more violent than pac-man. He has been known to make insane demands towards the video gaming industry. This includes daring them to make a game where the storyline is how a video gamer goes crazy and kills video game company people. When he made that particular dare, he even offered a significant charity donation. The game industry made it, he reneged on the deal, and Penny Arcade made the donation for him.

He's also submitted homosexual porn to the courts as part of his evidence without labeling it as such, resulting in the judge not knowing he was about to be exposed to it.

And now this loon is without a license to practice law. Quite a nice day.

Gamers rejoice!

Anti-game lawyer and general nutjob (he tried to sue Penny Arcade for donating money to charity) Jack Thompson has been disbarred.

He failed the appeal process because he ignored the part saying he had to get another lawyer to sign his documents. So they were rejected.

Now he wants an "emergency stay" of the ruling, whatever that means.

I always find a quick keyword search works best, because you can't always tell from titles. That's why the guidelines for this forum say that a member should include a short description of the info contained in the link. It helps in a search.

Doing a mouseover on the main page for each forum also gives a quick look at the first line of the thread, so sometimes, that can be helpful, too.
