Based on what I have heard coming from other hotel rooms through the years, and the stories here, the critters were probably an improvement over some of the guests.

LAMEST EXCUSE EVER."Rather, the allergic reaction was due to Plaintiff's own immune system.''
OMG, NO! When you stay in a hotel, you're supposed to take the Animals with you, they are NEVER allowed to stay in the room alone. Even in a kennel.always put the ''Do Not Disturb'' sign on the door when leaving an animal alone in a hotel room.Ridiculous 2009 Predictions: Evil Queen will beat Martha Stewart to death with a muffin pan. In the supposed manual for Busche Gardens, the animal handlers are supposed to clean up after the animals. Not the housekeeper.Ridiculous 2009 Predictions: Evil Queen will beat Martha Stewart to death with a muffin pan. All hail Evil Queen! (Some things don't need elaboration.....) -- Jester

Yeah, but how often does one clean up after exotic wild animals? She may not have known she'd had those allergies -- would you know if you were allergic to alligator or lemur poop?Quoth Hon'ya-chan View PostSo lemme get this straight:
Woman signs up to be a Janitor. What part of the job descriptions she's supposed to cleanup did she not understand?
Sorry if that came out a bit harsh. Though I'd think a hotel janitor could expect to have to clean up spilled cat litter or pet food on occassion, the wild animals thing is rather out of the ordinary.I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

Actually, I think it's a pretty good excuse. Should the Gardens reasonably have expected an unusual, extreme allergic reaction from the hotel worker?Quoth Evil Queen View PostLAMEST EXCUSE EVER.
To put it in context, if I let my dog stay in my room (with the hotel's permission) and this results in an extreme allergic reaction from a hotel worker, should I be liable?
Another quote from the Gardens: ``We have been conducting animal interaction programs in our parks, and all over the world, for 45 years. And we have never had a history of such an occurrence.'' I believe that. If there was a substantial risk of allergic reaction from contact with exotic animals, you'd see warning signs at every petting zoo.
And to be honest, I don't really believe the hotel worker's story. She's also claiming that she was kidnapped, taken to a cemetery and warned to drop the lawsuit. Unless Busch Gardens has been taken over by a Mafia family, that seems a bit far-fetched.
That's probably more practical for dogs and cats than alligators. In any case, it's not really relevant to this case, since the hotel worker never came into contact with the animals. She just had to clean up after them once they'd left the room.OMG, NO! When you stay in a hotel, you're supposed to take the Animals with you, they are NEVER allowed to stay in the room alone. Uhmm.... how exactly can you guarantee that a kidnapping that may or may not have happened, of a woman sueing an organization which PETA opposes, was done by PETA?
On topic: Alligators? In a hotel room? Ok, I love animals, you guys know that, but you would think they would take a page from circuses' books and get some sort of a traveling van/camper thing with everything the animals need for going on the road.My basic dog food advice - send a pm if you need more.
