            I wonder what happen if you switch a few cables. Wonder how long it take to figure out which ones?

                    Depends on which two cables.

                    Could be as little as a "start - settings - network connections - right click & select repair" fixer.

                    Besides, and good tech has a toner that they don't need to find where a cable is, they just plug it into the jack and trace it back.
