    New Zealand law didn't allow police to put a picture of an underage suspect on a "wanted" poster. So they used a picture of actor Robbie Coltrane instead.

      On the other hand, if I see a 16yo verison of Robbie Coltrane walking around, I guess I know what to do now.

        Couldn't they have used a sketch or something? Isn't that a tad-bit dangerous for them to be using his picture for something like that?

          I was wondering that too. I'd think Coltrane would be within his rights to sue for defamation of character.

          A change in the law would be a good idea.

            I'm not sure about defamation of character, since they're clear he isn't wanted, but I'd say it's a good bet they don't have a copyright permission on that image.
