I particularly appreciate that it's still a loan. It's not a gift, not a handout, just a way to ensure one person who's struggling right now gets to keep her home.

I like "help those who help themselves" kind of things.

It's possible and it's a risk that the Good Samaritan took, but a big part of me hopes this works out well for both of them and that all is good. Sounds like she's willing to work with the original owner of the house to figure out how much she can actually afford.

Personally, I think this is an awesome story. There are still good people out in the world. It's nice to hear every once in awhile.
