  • O-kay, has this part of my hometown finally gone over the edge?

    The National Toy Hall of Fame, part of the Strong Museum in Rochester NY has unveiled new additions to the Hall, including....

    a stick.

    *chuckles* I get it...kudos for them for thinking outside of a box. Thats the next thing they should add you know, a great big empty box.

      I have had more fun with fridge or washer/dryer boxes than some of th etoys I got as a kid. but then again back in the 1960's there was not much beyond board games, easy bake ovens Shinky-Dinks slinkies Wheelo's and some primative motorized cars and trucks.

      a stick is a worldwide universal "toy" many many uses with lots of imagination. they are readily available free for the taking and if it breaks or is damaged you can find/get another in 5 minutes or less no going to the store or waiting in lines or bugging Mom or Dad for a month

      heck I got creative around the age of 12 and taped a bunch of trash bags together and made my own air supported building powered by a 12" window fan. impressed the crap out of my older brother

            i get it. c'mon. when you were a kid, didnt you use sticks in all kinds of things to play with? i did. Swords, playing tic tac toe in dirt, all kinds of things.

            its the broke kids best toy
